2024 Recap + What’s coming in 2025?
UXtweak Team
•  31.12.2024

Hello, Eduard here—founder of UXtweak.

On behalf of the entire team, I wish you a joyful holiday season and an exciting start to the new year!

As 2024 comes to a close, it’s a great time to reflect on everything we’ve accomplished together.

Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been working on—and plans for 2025.

⚙️ Platform Updates

  • Launched the Live Interviews tool (moderated research), complete with a scheduling calendar, timestamped notes, observer access, the ability to recruit from our User Panel or bring your own participants, and more.
  • We improved it further with Media Package: allowing you to create video highlights, combine them into reels, and generate and edit transcripts effortlessly.
  • Added several features, including advanced filtering for study results, presets, enhanced exports and study recordings on mobile with automated click highlighting and viewport cropping.
  • Enhanced usability and introduced new subscription plans.

With UXtweak you can recruit, conduct, analyze, and share UX research—all in one place.

📚 Research Highlights

Advancing UX research and human-computer interaction is one of our core principles.

This year, I’m proud of the contributions of our research team:

  • Published 4 scientific articles in leading journals, covering topics like AI in usability testing and debunking the “five-second rule” for first impressions.
  • 5 additional articles are currently under peer review, continuing our mission to push the field forward.

You can read more about these efforts in my recent post on LinkedIn.

🎙️ Community Highlights

Live events

We started hosting monthly live events with UX experts. Some of my favorites include:

  • Kevin Liang on balancing strategic and tactical research
  • Lena Kul with a detailed framework for designing your job search
  • Julian Della Mattia on why research operations are the engine for UX practices

Missed a session? You can find the recordings on our YouTube channel.

Next up: On January 22, Nikki Anderson will be talking about the ROI of UX research and how to drive decisions – register here to join us.

UX Research Geeks Podcast Milestone

This year, we celebrated 50 episodes of UX Research Geeks! Our guests included incredible researchers and designers like Steve Portigal, Vitaly Friedman, Indi Young, and Kate Townsey.

✨ What’s Coming in 2025

We’ve been listening to your feedback, and here’s what we’re focusing on for the year ahead:

  • Major redesign: A smoother, more intuitive UXtweak experience.
  • AI-driven solutions: For empowering researchers to do more research and obtain more insights. In tandem with our research, we intend to deliver human-centered AI solutions that can truly be called helpful and intelligent.
