Reviews: What do you like best about Userlytics?

👌 ”Saved videos, nice tools that help the analysis, good customer support, the platform is easy to use.”

– Laila B., Source: G2

👌 ”Nothing for participants to download or install, has a bit of everything to support all kinds of research, very good client support.”

– Verified User in Health, Source: G2

👌 ”The pool of Userlytics testers is the most helpful. Second I love the transcription of user session. It makes it easier to find the right feed back later. I can focus more on the conversation then taking notes..”

– Tamar M., Source: G2

Pros in a nutshell

Userlytics offers an intuitive interface that simplifies the user testing process and provides responsive customer support. It includes a dedicated account manager for personalized service and features that support thorough analysis, although the depth may be limited. Users appreciate the ease of use, effective tools for analysis, and a diverse pool of testers.

Disadvantages

  • Lack of Analysis Tools: Userlytics does not offer analysis tools or visualizations like word clouds or heatmaps, limiting deeper data analysis.
  • Credit System Limitations: The current credit system, dividing credits between Userlytics testers and user-provided participants, often leaves unused credits, especially for those who prefer Userlytics testers.
  • Technical Challenges: Users who bring their own testers sometimes encounter technical difficulties when initiating tests, which can lead to test cancellations or a switch to alternative platforms like Zoom.
  • Inaccurate Audio Transcriptions: The quality of audio transcriptions is often poor, requiring researchers to spend additional time verifying and correcting the transcriptions.

Reviews: What do you dislike about Userlytics?

👎 ”The transcription has a lot of problems when the person has an accent, and since it’s used in the IA analysis we can’t trust the analysis and we can’t use it. The videos given are very small when the test is on mobile in landscape mode, it’s very hard to analyse. Also there are missing features compared to the conccurents

I’m frustrated to not be able to to multi-session tests, which means test with the same person multiple times, or longitudinal study, a test that lasts multiple days with the same person.

– Laila B., Source: G2

👎 ”I found Userlytics to have gaps in supporting a researcher’s natural work, especially when conducting remote moderated sessions with own recruits. Top issues are: poor participant scheduling experience, little visibility of the participant experience, requiring separate effort for common steps that can be integrated, poor flexibility in building a study.”

– Verified User in Health, Source: G2

👎 ”I hate the new credit system. I liked the old one when you had a total amount of credits and you could use it for userlytics testers or bring my own users. Now that the credits are split I have all these left over credits for bring my own that I would rather use from the Userlytics testers.

Plus alot of our users that we bring have issues getting Userlytics started and we cancel the test or go to Zoom. I would rather bting in Userlytics testers that know the system. I’m not sure I’m going to renew with Userlytics because of the new credit system.”

– Tamar M., Source: G2

Cons in a nutshell

Userlytics has some limitations, including the lack of advanced analysis tools or visualizations like word clouds or heatmaps, which restrict deeper data analysis. The current credit system divides credits between Userlytics testers and user-provided participants, often resulting in unused credits. Users bringing their own testers sometimes face technical challenges when initiating tests, leading to test cancellations or switching to platforms like Zoom. The audio transcription quality is often poor, requiring additional time for verification and correction. Users have also reported issues with participant scheduling, lack of flexibility in study design, and the inability to conduct multi-session or longitudinal studies.

Key Features of UXtweak

Reviews: What do you like best about UXtweak?

👌 “I love how easy and quick it is to set up the tests. To import the prototype from Figma you just need a link. It imports all your transitions directly from Figma or you can choose to connect the screens manually during setup. The analytics are great, you can easily filter out specific respondent groups, based on different criteria, and analyze results for each of them. I like that you can get a great amount of qual and quant insights without having to spend hours on the manual analysis.

– Syuzana G., Source: G2

👌 “We used UXtweak to test usability of our mobile app’s interface and it helped greatly. We were able to recruit a rather niche audience of participants directly in the app, which honestly saved a lot of time. The study had great analytics for each task of our test. There are also recordings for each session that you can come back to for further analysis.”

– Emilly S., Source: G2

👌 “Their card sorting feature. It’s a great tool that offers an incredible amount of analytics and features for such a price.”

– David, Source: G2

Reviews: What do you dislike about UXtweak?

👎 “The UI of the study setup could use a face lift, it’s quite outdated.”

– David, Source: G2

👎 “There is currently nothing we dislike about UXtweak, as we always get enough insights about our products that we can implement into the practice straight away.“

– Matej K., Source: G2

👎 “Sometimes it takes time to import Figma prototypes. I guess because of API. Also, the interface of UXtweak should be a little bit more designed. Their site is very modern, but the application can also be redesigned. But it is functional and easy to use.“

Decision-Making Guide: Is Userlytics Right for Your Team?

Userlytics is a user-friendly platform with numerous features, although its analysis depth may not match UXtweak’s. It has an intuitive interface, dedicated account managers for higher budgets, and responsive customer support. However, it lacks advanced analysis tools, has credit system constraints, and may deliver inaccurate audio transcriptions.

On the other hand, UXtweak excels in the recruitment of reliable participants and offers a study audit service. With a wide range of advanced tools and affordable, transparent pricing, it addresses Userlytics’ shortcomings.
